A group of 7th grade students from HNMS attended a Teens Against Tobacco Use event put on by the SD Department of Health. The T.A.T.U leaders learned valuable information and activities to promote prevention against the harmful effects of tobacco and e-cigarettes!
Mrs. Martin's students found a correlation between the number of seeds in a pumpkin and its weight but it was not proportional. Thanks to 57th HyVee and The Country Apple Orchard for donating pumpkins for this experiment!

MONDAY: Lunch - Sign pledge poster to receive a drug prevention slogan sucker

TUESDAY: Dress Up - “Team Up Against Drugs” (sports jersey / team clothes)
WEDNESDAY: Before School - PBIS Store use PBIS pointes to purchase scrunchies in the concessions area.
Dress Up - “Wake Up Drug Free and Wear Your Scrunchy” (pajamas / scrunchies)
THURSDAY: Dress Up - “Scare Away Drugs” (PAY $1 to wear Halloween costumes) All proceeds will go towards helping assist Harrisburg families in need!
FRIDAY: Dress Up - "Our School is Drug Free” (school spirit wear / school colors)
