We are on a roll two days in a row capturing learners being engaged with their reading. This young man talked about reading before school to reach a goal he set for himself in Mrs. Wiekings's class. His mom received our #goodnewscalloftheday for working hard to accomplish his reading goal.

I love seeing learners engaged with books when I walk through classrooms. This young man was taking notes on what he was reading, so he could do a project at the end of the book. The learner's parents received #thegoodnewscalloftheday. #engagedreaders #loveofreading #readingrocks

Journey learners had fun using Dash Robots to practice their coding and math skills.

Mrs. Christiansen wanted to thank these two ladies for singing a solo on last-minute notice (with no rehearsal!) for the Pajama Party! 1st Grade Journey/Horizon Concert last night.

Journeyโs 77 1st graders are ready & excited to take the stage. Mrs. Christiansenโs ability to capture their attention in the moment is pretty amazing! Great job Mrs. Christiansen and 1st graders!

Congratulations to these learners who are the PAWSitive note winners for the month of February! #PAWSitiveBehavior

Mrs. Christiansen and the Journey/Horizon 1st graders put on a fun Pajama Party! First Grade Concert last night!

We are very proud of our Journey 5th grade band members for their performance at the Washington Pavilion last night. The 5th-12th Grade Harrisburg Band Showcase was a wonderful event

Thank you @Coach_Wilber for talking to our Journey 4th & 5th grade learners about setting goals and letting us watch the intensity of your practice. Good luck @DWUMensHoops in the NAIA National Tournament!

#goodnewscalloftheday ร2 for these two young ladies. It was enjoyable to sit down with these two young ladies and see their knowledge grow in their math learning.

Our first graders enjoyed Green Eggs & Ham last week. A special thank you to Mr. Hoffman for reading the book to them!

The TL team celebrated Dr. Seussโs birthday with some fun activities on Friday.

Attention Parents of the 2019-20 Kindergarten Class: If you did not register your child for school next year, please contact your home school as soon as possible to do so. Assessments will be held March 26th and March 28th.

I was very impressed with this young lady being able to communicate to Mr. Lape where she is at in her learning. Her ability to articulate what her weekly learning goals are and what she has accomplished in her learning was a great example of a learner-led conference. Her mom was excited to receive the #goodnewscalloftheday.

Come on out to support the Horizon and Journey students in their 1st grade music concert on March 7 @ 7PM in the HHS PAC!

This young lady was nominated by Mrs. Gravning for the #goodnewscalloftheday. She has a positive attitude throughout the building and if she encounters something difficult she has been able to persevere and reach her learning goals.

Journey 5th graders are busy practicing for the 5-12 grade Harrisburg Band Showcase Tuesday, March 5 at the Washington Pavilion (7p). Get your tickets at http://events.harrisburgband.org! Doors open at 6:30p.
