Attention Parents and Community Members:

Did you know that the average teenager spends 27 hours a week online with most of this time spent on social media websites or apps? From cyberbullying to identity theft, today’s youth face a number of risks online, but there are things we can do to help protect them.   North Middle School invites you to come listen to Supervisory Special Agent Brent Gromer of the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation, Internet Crimes Against Children, talk about the dangers facing our children online and what steps we can take as parents, educators, and community members to help keep our children safe.   Topics that will address include:

  • Keeping kids safe in a digital world
  • Online dangers and vulnerabilities our children face everyday
  • How to have important conversations about internet safety

WHEN: Monday, November 5th at 6:00 p.m.
